Hanover College Scholarships

Hanover College Scholarships for DPT Students

In the Fall of 2025 for new DPT students (Class of 2027), we are thrilled to announce new scholarships to help many of you reduce the cost of your tuition.

  • New scholarships apply to current seat deposits, students in the funnel, students who applied and withdrew seat deposit
  • New scholarships do not apply to existing students in the DPT cohort or students enrolling in the program after August 2025. Students must matriculate in August 2025 (does not apply if a student defers admission)

Merit Scholarships

  • Students with an unweighted college GPA of 3.75 or higher are eligible for a $10,000 scholarship toward the total cost of the program
  • Students with an unweighted college GPA of 3.5-3.74 are eligible for a $5,000 scholarship toward the total cost of the program

PTA Scholarship

  • Students who are licensed PTAs are eligible for a $2,500 scholarship toward the total cost of the program.

Hanover Alum Scholarship

  • Students who are graduates of Hanover College are eligible for a $5,000 scholarship toward the cost of the program.

APTA

The APTA offers multiple scholarships for members of the APTA and current DPT students. See the website for the various scholarship opportunities and associated requirements.

APTA Mary McMillan Scholarship Award

This award acknowledges and honors outstanding physical therapist and physical therapist assistant students who are nearing the completion of their respective programs of study. The scholarship program contributes to the growth of physical therapy as a profession by recognizing individuals with superior capabilities.

American Association of University Women

A career development grant offered to women looking to advance their career in education, health and medical sciences or social sciences.

Association of Schools Advancing Health Professions (ASAHP)

The ASAHP offers scholarships to outstanding students pursuing an allied health profession. See the website for complete details and requirements.

AMBUCS

AMBUCS awards scholarships to graduate students enrolled in physical therapy programs, among others. See the website for complete details and requirements.

Daughters of the American Revolution

The Daughters of the American Revolution offers scholarships to students of financial need enrolled in an accredited physical therapy program. See the website for complete details and requirements.

F.A. Davis Scholarship

F.A. Davis is dedicated to developing teaching and learning solutions that meet the needs of nursing and health science students, educators, and practitioners. To stay committed to our goal of shaping the future of nursing and health science education, F.A. Davis is proud to offer annual scholarships to support those aspiring to work in healthcare.

Folds of Honor

Offers scholarship opportunities to dependents and/or spouses of fallen or disabled US services members and first responders.

Foundation for Physical Therapy Research – Promotion of Doctoral Studies

Physical therapists or physical therapist assistants who have completed at least two full semesters or three full quarters of their coursework toward a post-professional doctoral degree.

HEI Help Center Scholarship

The HIE Help Center will award one annual scholarship in the amount of $1,000 to an undergraduate or graduate student who plans to pursue a career in physical, occupational, or speech therapy. 

James B. McKillip Scholarship

The James B. McKillip scholarship was established to support individuals pursuing a career in physical therapy and continue the growth of the profession. This scholarship seeks to honor Jim McKillip’s legacy and entrepreneurial heart by helping those looking to make a difference in the profession.

Med Travelers Scholarship

This scholarship of $5,000 is offered twice a year to current PT students. Applications due by end of April and require a written essay.

National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA)

Multiple scholarships are offered through the NSCA for students pursuing undergraduate or graduate degrees in the strength and conditioning field. Physical therapy education does qualify. See the website for the various scholarship opportunities and associated requirements.

The Pat Tillman Foundation

The Pat Tillman Foundation offers scholarship support for service members, veterans, and military spouses. See the website for complete details and requirements.

Veterans United Foundation

The Veterans United Foundation Scholarship offers financial support for family of service members and veterans pursuing their education. See the website for complete details and requirements.

VA National Education for Employees Program (Employee Incentive Scholarship Program)
